COMPANY HISTORY
ARAGON SYSTEM PRODUCTS has a long history of providing innovative solutions for the Packaging, Mailing, Newspaper and Printing industries.
Founded in 1991 by Robert A. Kellogg, ARAGON SYSTEM PRODUCTS has been involved in developing cutting edge systems and solutions from the beginning, starting with automated production and test systems developed for Ametek, a leading global manufacturer of electronic instruments and electric motors.
In 1992 ARAGON SYSTEM PRODUCTS entered the newspaper and publishing industry when working with FERAG-Americas to develop a series of increasingly more sophisticated control systems. Initial products included the BZP (a PC-based inserting drum control system) and the RCP (a mailroom product tracking, counting and control system). Later innovations saw the development of integrated systems incorporating all of the elements of the initial developments plus expansion to include press totalizing, bundle distribution, planning, warehousing and other functionality.
In 2002 ARAGON SYSTEM PRODUCTS signed a contract with FERAG-Americas to provide exclusive software and control support for all products developed by FERAG-Americas and ARAGON SYSTEM PRODUCTS. Included in the contract were the rights to further develop and use these products independently. This move allowed for a rapid advance in further product development incorporating new technologies and revitalizing entire product lines.
In 2004, ARAGON SYSTEM PRODUCTS released ASPECT (Aragon System Products Enterprise Control Technology) which is a cross-platform web-browser based interface that allows enterprise wide access to all levels of production management and control. From local machine control to production planning and back-office accounting, ASPECT provides a consistent, simple and secure interface to the entire production system.
In 2005, ARAGON SYSTEM PRODUCTS released new control solutions for three primary mailroom systems. These include the SCC-ASP, INS-ASP and SIA-ASP packages. The SCC-ASP replaces obsolete conveyor controls including drives and motors where desired with new easily available components and open software technologies. A modern full-featured user interface with myriad choices regarding operational preferences is insured by the inclusion of ASPECT technology. The INS-ASP provides the same level of functionality and sophistication with regard to control over a wide range of inserters. And finally, the SIA-ASP replaces obsolete stacker infeed technology to create an integrated system that can handle sophisticated product delivery scenarios either independently or in conjunction with other ARAGON SYSTEM PRODUCTS systems.
In 2009, two major changes happened to ARAGON SYSTEM PRODUCTS. ASP moved to a newfacility located in Horsam, PA. This facility is much larger then the previous building and houses a warehouse for manufacturing and storage. Aragon System Products also became incorporated.
ARAGON SYSTEM PRODUCTS continues with the tradition of using state-of-the-art technologies and applying core system capabilities to a diverse range of applications. Recent innovative ARAGON SYSTEM PRODUCTS projects cover a wide array of clients and range from control software for a robotics assembly system used by Lockheed Martin to a web-browser based, enterprise-wide, donor management database system for the Heritage Conservancy located in Bucks County, Pennsylvania. |
