Horsham, PA- Aragon System Products, Inc., the industry leader in complete post press control systems, headquartered, outside of Philadelphia, will be among the top companies displaying production cost-cutting solutions at Print 09, September 11-16, 2009 at McCormick Place in Chicago.

Print 09 is the largest & most comprehensive exhibition and conference of its kind for the printing & publishing industry with over 800 exhibitors.

“With Print 09 being the premier event of the printing industry, it allows customers to see the latest technology from the world’s top vendors in one place,” says Ron Giancoli, Director of Sales & Marketing for Aragon. “We will be featuring our newest product, The Count Integrity Display System (CIDS).  The eco-friendly, CIDS is a highly visible (up to 100 yds) LED, that displays all production counts in real-time, providing a visual communication between press and bindery/finishing areas.  Utilization of the CIDS allows press & bindery/finishing monitoring the display to hit needed draw, virtually eliminating very costly over and short production runs, thus saving major production costs.  Additionally, press time, manpower and material costs are reduced,” says Giancoli.

“Visitors to our booth 6858 and also, to one of our distributors, Print2Finish, Booth 3486 will be able to see The Count Integrity Display System as well as to discuss how it will reduce their production costs.”

Print 09’s extensive array of exhibitors allows attendee’s from every facet of the printing-publishing industry, small to large commercial printers, packaging & box printers to newspapers, to find new products to enhance, benefit and optimize their business potential.

ARAGON INTRODUCES PRODUCTION COST-SAVINGS SOLUTION

Aragon System Products (ASP) has unveiled the Count Integrity Display System (CIDS) for the US Newspaper market.  The CIDS has been in use for over four years, proven & tested as a production count verifier with close to a hundred installations in Europe.

ASP, the industry leader in complete post-press control systems has exclusive rights to the CIDS in North America.

The Count Integrity Display, which is receiving precise counts from existing or added sensors from press folder through to stackers, shows real-time production runs counts.  The data is displayed on highly visible (up to 100 yds), cost effective display to provide pressroom & packaging center instant production count verification.  The visual communication link between the pressroom & packaging center allows press operators to regulate press speeds in order to hit the needed draw.  With the real-time production communication link, costly waste from over runs as well as short runs are virtually eliminated. Along with seeing as production occurs, waste counts, speed of press and time of runs.

The Harrisburg (PA-Newhouse Group) Patriot-News is in their third week with the eco-friendly CIDS as of this writing.  Results have been unanimously positive.  Quan Bui, Production Manager, says, “the visual communication between press personnel and mailroom while production is occurring and making necessary adjustments saves a lot of waste on each & every run…..the production counts (using the CIDS) numbers tell the story.”  On a typical nightly run of over 84,000 copies, over runs were reduced to single digits.

Melissa Weaver, Press Foreman, adds, “from the first day the displays went up you saw the savings, not only in waste, but also press time & manpower, besides helps us avoid costly short runs.  I wish we had these from the beginning.”

Similar sentiments are echoed by, Milt Thomas, Packaging Supervisor, “the display counts are pure, now having a real communication link between packaging & pressroom is very beneficial. It’s obvious this (CIDS) will help save money on waste & increase efficiency.”
